The XX PlayLab is a collaborative program of the Boston Center for the Arts and Company One Theatre, designed to propel the work of female playwrights from development to production. Writers at various stages of their careers receive mentorship, dramaturgical support and advocacy through a process that culminates in an annual festival, positioning new works in context of local and national conversations about the new play sector.
