For more than a decade, the Boston Center for the Arts Resident Theatre (ResCo) Program has offered multi-year residencies to some of Boston’s most innovative and groundbreaking performing arts groups. The ResCo Program offers theatrical companies a stable home so they can focus on artistic excellence, audience development and organizational growth.

Boston-area premieres include Bat Boy: The Musical; Anna in the Tropics; A Man of No Importance; Parade; and Take Me Out. Now in its 18th year, the company is devoted to nurturing local artists and building community while creating such award-winning productions as Five by Tenn (Outstanding Production, Elliot Norton Award, 2006); The Women (Outstanding Play, Independent Reviewers of New England, 2007) and Caroline, or Change (Outstanding Musical Production, Elliot Norton Award, 2007).

tto logoFounded in 1989, Theater Offensive is committed to presenting honest, accurate, artistic images of queer life through groundbreaking programming. Held annually each fall, the Out on the Edge Festival is considered to be among the world’s premiere LGBT theater series. Additional programs include the True Colors Out Youth Theater and A Street Theater Named Desire, providing vibrant discussions and insight into the diversity of LGBT life.
