Exploring the tension between natural cycles and the artifice of the workplace, Weber Dance will perform excerpts of their developing work-in-progress in open conversation with the audience. The evening will evolve from process to polished company repertoire.

The need for instant gratification appears everywhere: text messages, fast food, same-day delivery, the self-help movement, and instructions for building easy, mass-produced furniture. Explore this characteristic of our fast-paced, increasingly impatient society through a series of interactive events and performances with SPUNKandCOmpany contemporary dance.

Peter DiMuro/Public Displays of Motion
After 20 years of touring the world creating dances with multiple dance genres, Peter DiMuro returns to Boston to explore new ways of creating work through dialogue, workshops, open showings, and intensive rehearsals. Performances will showcase the results of DiMuro’s search.

Movement at the Mills is a series of dance exhibitions showcasing fresh, edgy, interactive work. This session features local companies Jessie Jeanne & Dancers in a cross-disciplinary work inspired by Henri Matisse and Reject Dance Theatre exploring the territory of human psyche, gender and animal movement.

Critically-acclaimed, skybetter and associates activate the Mills Gallery’s current exhibition Jordan Eagles: Blood Dust with the company’s abstract, elegantly formal repertory. The performance features a handful of skybetter’s Kennedy Center-commissioned dance works, and an exclusive preview of new work.
