James Cambronne is a printmaker, painter, sculptor and draftsman. He works in an investigative way exploring the synaptic interplay between conception and perception.

Currently, Jim is working on a project started in 1998 entitled the Days of May. This project is a single piece that consists of 31 paintings, a painting for each day. Each painting in the series is a polyphonic visual conversation employing geometric elements from multiple cultures, styles and time periods. One of the paintings is the basis for the 2015 installation “Where What Is?” exhibited at Proof Gallery, Boston MA
