Dance Documentation Initiative: Apply now!

Program Overview

In conversation with presenters, programmers, funders and artists, BCA’s Director of Dance—Andrea Blesso Albuquerque—noticed a consistent need for clear, high-quality documentation of dance. Whether applying for funding and creative opportunities, or updating promotional and archival materials, high-quality documentation of artistic work in this digital media-heavy time is essential.

In response to this need, Boston Center for the Arts (BCA) launches the Dance Documentation Initiative—a subsidized video documentation program.

This initiative provides artists with an opportunity to adapt their work for the camera, working with the documentation team to create specific light and sound settings in an affordable and schedule-friendly environment.
