Studio 312

David Montenegro :: Points of Departure: International Writers on Writing and Politics

Points of Departure, published by the University of Michigan Press (1991), collects 10 interviews I conducted with international poets and novelists on writing and politics. Several of these interviews were previously published in Partisan Review and the American Poetry Review.  In 2000, I was awarded a fellowship in poetry by the Massachusetts Cultural Council. I am completing a manuscript of poetry and for the past five years have also been composing music – principally for guitar and cello.  I share Studio 312 with my wife, novelist and journalist M.E. Hirsh.
