Description1001by Jason Grote Presented by Company One A seductive fever-dream of a play, Grote's kaleidoscopic reinvention of the Arabian Nights proves to be a timely tale as America reflects on the 10 year anniversary of 9/11. 1001's rich fantasia conjures a storybook world that dissolves, at a moment's notice, into an apocalyptic, 21st-century landscape. Stories like Sinbad the Sailor and Aladdin and His Magic Lamp come to life, making 1001 an explosive, brilliant work about America, the power of story, and identity. Please note, parking near the Boston Center for the Arts is limited. Please arrive early, as performances will be starting promptly at curtain time. BCA Valet Parking is available directly in front of the theatre, and you can purchase in advance here. You will drop off your car first, and pick up your valet stub when you pick up your tickets from the box office and supply it to the parking attendants after the performance. Approximate running time is 2 hours including one intermission. It is recommended for audiences 17 and older due to adult content and sexually explicit imagery.
