Description

Medicine Wheel, a public art installation and vigil held annually at Boston Center for the Arts, is the longest running Boston Area World AIDS Day event. On December 1, 1989, A Day Without Art began as a National Day of Mourning in response to the AIDS crisis. To honor its 25th year, Michael Dowling presents the Medicine Wheel Installation in the Cyclorama on December 1, 2016. Medicine Wheel provides a safe place to gather and reflect on the impact of the pandemic, while artists from all over Boston offer their gifts of music, dance and poetry.
