Experiential Boredom: Run of the Mills Movement Workshop

Experiential Boredom: Run of the Mills Movement Workshop

Part of the Boston Center for the Arts Run of the Mills program
In partnership with the New Movement Collaborative

How we think shapes how we move, how we dance shapes how we think. Paying attention to the relationship between dancing and thinking might positively destabilize our interactions with ourselves, each other, and the material world around us. Asher Woodworth and Hana van der Kolk facilitate an experimental dance workshop that explores just that.

Informed in their approach by such dance innovators as Min Tanaka and Deborah Hay, and by a shared dedication to meditation, improvisational dance practices, community-building, and feminist thought and action, this workshop is open to movers of all types.

Saturday, April 2nd | 4:00–6:00pm
Mills Gallery at the BCA
551 Tremont Street | Boston

Sliding scale $10-$20

No dance experience necessary, all are welcome ages 15 and up
