Winter Panto 2012: Humpty Dumpty

Presented by imaginary beasts, an Emerging Theatre Company at the BCA

Warm up your winter this January, when the beasts introduce their much loved Winter Panto to Boston audiences with the topsy-turvy tale of the eponymous egg from Mother Goose Land!  

A Giant Egg has appeared mysteriously on the wall surrounding Old King Cole’s castle, and that’s no yolk! It’s a Portent of Doom sent by Demon Icicle himself: if the Egg should fall – down will come King, and crown, and castle, and all! In order to reverse the curse, Sunnyside the Goose must lead a band of ragtag characters on a dangerous quest that will take them to the far reaches of the world. But will our unlikely heroes be able to crack the frozen-hearted Old Icicle and end his wintry reign for good, or will they all be scrambled?

Imaginary Beasts is a non-equity theatre ensemble, proudly serving the greater Boston area and the North Shore community. They are committed to bringing innovative yet accessible theatrical performances to the general public and to reaching diverse communitities through the projects they develop. At heart, they are an artist-based theatre company and that remains central to their mission to offer company members - both traditional and non-traditional performance artists - a unique chance to explore and develop exciting theatre in an ongoing studio enviornment.
