Description

The Boston Center for the Arts is hosting a free open house May 2 & 3 from 12:00 to 4:00 to celebrate the diversity of the South End. The event will take place in the Cyclorama building at 539 Tremont Street between Berkeley and Clarendon Streets.

The open house is in conjunction with the BCA’s campaign to win a $100,000 grant from American Express and Partners In Preservation. The organization with the most votes at www.partnersinpreservation.com automatically wins a $100,000 grant for historic preservation.

Festivities include:

· An exhibition of Of Many Colors: Portraits of Multiracial Families, a touring photo-text display created by the award-winning
Family Diversity Projects of Amherst, Massachusetts.

· Participatory Art: BCA artists will work with visitors of all ages and skill levels to create a mural depicting the diversity
of the South End.

· Multicultural music

· Food

Admission is free and open to the public
