Calendar of Events

This exhibit will showcase selections of work by artist and Boston-based architect Richard Bertman. Three unique viewpoints will highlight and select work from the artist’s three major creative outlets: drawing, wire, and kinetic sculpture.

In his statement, Berman talks about his interest in perception, mobility and the physicality of engaging the viewer: “This concept of change and how our perception is affected by change intrigues me.  In some of my work, the pieces themselves move.  Movement generates interest by varying the relationship between elements, creating variety.  In some pieces I have tried to involve the viewer physically as well as visually.”
