Working with acrylic paints and pallet knives, Shapiro has been able to uncover a new, ever-changing style of painting. “The Pallet Knife Series”, for example, incorporates metallic, interference, iridescent and opalescent acrylics producing altered light reflections. Also used are sand, mortar, grout, pumice stone, and glass beads for the creation of texture.
