Cigdem Oktem—BCA Board of Directors
Principal, Tapestry Networks

Cigdem (“Cheedem”) Oktem has spent her career helping organizations and executives take a considered approach to improving what they do, focusing particularly in the areas of finance, strategy and leadership development.

Cigdem is currently a Principal with Tapestry Networks, where she oversees a national education program for Board directors of Fortune 500 companies and is a member of the management team. Prior to joining Tapestry, Cigdem was an independent consultant, whose portfolio included serving as CFO for a software start-up. Her work experience includes spending nearly a decade with the Corporate Executive Board (CEB), where she advised global executives and managed programs providing best practice research to CFOs and heads of strategy and finance.

Cigdem is a member of The Boston Club, an organization for leading women executives, and serves on its Governance Committee.

Cigdem holds a B.A. in economics and psychology from Swarthmore College and an M.A. in international studies from the Johns Hopkins School of International Studies (SAIS).

She recently moved to South Boston and is enjoying getting to know the city.
