The 2006/07 Series includes: Access to Theater: A one-of-a-kind summer institute, Access to Theater provides youth with disabilities, ages 13 - 21, the opportunity to create an original production of dance, performance, poetry and movement Stan Strickland's Coming Up for Air: An AutoJAZZography: One of Boston's most versatile and well-known jazz musicians plays sax, flute, keyboards and an assortment of percussion, while he riffs about his life and art Medicine Wheel: Boston's largest observance of World AIDS Day returns to the Cyclorama for its 15th year. Medicine Wheel combines the efforts of dozens of artists, community members and volunteers in a large-scale exhibition honoring the millions of people worldwide who have been affected by AIDS Bread and Puppet Theater: One of the oldest self-supporting theatrical companies in the U.S., Bread and Puppet uses puppet theatre to blend dance, music and sculpture into a form uniquely its own
Snappy Dance Theater: Boston’s largest and most active contemporary dance company stimulates and inspires by creating an edgy yet accessible style of dance for audiences of all ages and all backgrounds and, in the process, seeks to widen and change both young people’s adults’ perception of dance |
